Friday Wine Tasting 7.14.17

Come by and cool off with some free wine! Here’s what we’ll be pouring today from 3-7 pm.

LA CAPRANERA FIANO
The Fiano grape is thought to be indigenous to Campania, Italy and is known for concentrated fruit and intense aromatics. The clay and chalk soils of the vineyards lend a clean mineral crispness to the wine, enhancing the attractive notes of white flowers, ripe pear and apricot. Chill this down for an excellent and refreshing sunny day wine.

GEORGES DEBOEUF BEAUJOLAIS-VILLAGES
Beaujolais-Villages takes its name from the 38 villages from which it can source its fruit and can be an approachable introduction to the more prestigious Cru Beaujolais. Produced by one of the most recognizable names in Beaujolais, this wine offers bright cherry and blackberry flavors with smooth, easy tannins. Incredibly versatile with food pairings, this wine can be served room temperature or slightly chilled.

DONATELLA CINELLI ROSSO DI MONTALCINO
Rosso di Montalcino is made of 100% Sangiovese (same grape as in Chianti). This deep ruby red wine spends one year in oak barrels imparting plentiful tannins, spice and complexity. Cherry, cranberry and bright pomegranate fruit is bolstered by a bright acidity and dusty lingering finish.

CLOS DE LOS SIETE
Clos de Los Siete is an Argentinian project of acclaimed Bordeaux producer Michel Rolland. Predominantly composed of Malbec, this is an inky, deep, dark and complex wine. The nose is pure and alluring offering fresh, juice fruit notes. The palate is full and fleshy with round tannins, vibrant acidity and generous fruit flavors enhanced by a lingering, dominant profile of baking spice.
